What you will do
- Assist in ensuring provision of nutritional, culturally relevant and well-presented food to the elderly residents
- Prepare foods of all types (Keeping in Mind focus on Greek cuisine requirements and preferences of the residents)
- Provide high quality hospitality catering services to the care recipients of the facility
- Ensure all food preparation is undertaken in accordance with the Food Safety Plan (FSP) and relevant regulatory requirements as well as occupation health and safety requirements
What we look for
- Qualifications in Hospitality (preferable an Advanced Diploma) or a recognised equivalent, or working towards some aligned and relevant qualification; and demonstrated prior experience working as a cook in a commercial kitchen, ideally with a background in Greek cuisine.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Empathy with the elderly’s needs
- COVID-19 vaccination as per Government mandate and Fronditha Care Policy
- National Police Check
