Gasoline Pony is a friendly, community-vibe music venue in Marrickville with a bar, beer garden and great food prepared in a small open kitchen. Main bar hosts live music everyday and attracts music lovers. The beer garden is popular with locals for a catch up and is regularly booked for birthdays, book launches and the like. We are open Tue-Sun with kitchen closing about 9pm. Our kitchen provides delicious bar food every night as well as canape/buffet options for group bookings as required.
The Cook/kitchen is a hands-on role assisting the head chef with prep and service on busy nights (generally Fri/Sat nights) plus skills to run service alone on a quieter night (probably Wed). The kitchen is small and open with limited bench space and equipment and yet puts out meals for 60-100pax on a busy night.
We are looking for someone agile and efficient who is well organised and thrives under pressure. Must be a clear communicator (loud environment) and be comfortable chatting with patrons (who like to say hello and ask you things). Additional hours are a possibility for right person if willing to jump into the bar or assist with other tasks.
With lots of live music, a great bar crew and friendly patrons it is a fun place to work. Staff get a free meal + drink per shift then 40% discount.
Kitchen open: Tue-Fri (5pm-9pm) + Sat-Sun (3pm-9pm)
