Wharf Shed Café is looking for Cooks/Chefs to join our dynamic team. Located along the Geelong waterfront, our renovated landmark destination has seen a recent growth in business which continues to prosper. We offer a contemporary menu focusing on local, seasonal produce for breakfast lunch and dinner 7 days a week.Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensures the consistency of all menu items regardless of time of day or period of service
- Prep fresh ingredients in readiness for service
- Liaising with the kitchen team to ensure smooth delivery of food to guests
- Operation of kitchen equipment to achieve required results for ala carte and function service
- Has understanding of stock control and works together with the kitchen team to minimize wastage
- Understanding and compliance with Food Safety Regulations & OHS
- Current trade qualifications
- Previous kitchen experience in a fast paced environment (at least 2 years experience)
- Excellent communication skills and can work under pressure
- The ability be a positive team player
- Passionate about maintaining consistent high standards within the venue
- Flexibility to work different shifts that are inclusive of school holidays, weekends, and public holidays
- Double vaccinated
- $70,000 per year plus superannuation
