Wharf Shed Café is looking for Cooks/Chefs to join our dynamic team. Located along the Geelong waterfront, our renovated landmark destination has seen a recent growth in business which continues to prosper. We offer a contemporary menu focusing on local, seasonal produce for breakfast lunch and dinner 7 days a week.Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensures the consistency of all menu items regardless of time of day or period of service
• Prep fresh ingredients in readiness for service
• Liaising with the kitchen team to ensure smooth delivery of food to guests
• Operation of kitchen equipment to achieve required results for ala carte and function service
• Has understanding of stock control and works together with the kitchen team to minimize wastage
• Understanding and compliance with Food Safety Regulations & OHS

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current trade qualifications
• Previous kitchen experience in a fast paced environment (at least 2 years experience)
• Excellent communication skills and can work under pressure
• The ability be a positive team player
• Passionate about maintaining consistent high standards within the venue
• Flexibility to work different shifts that are inclusive of school holidays, weekends, and public holidays
• Double vaccinated

Salary

• $70,000 per year plus superannuation
