What we are looking for:

We're currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as our Coordinator Coastal Management. In this vital role, you will be at the forefront of planning and executing projects related to Coastal and Catchment Management, focusing on Stormwater Quality and Coastal Management.

Your duties will entail overseeing the provision and maintenance of our coastal assets, liaising with external agencies, and offering expert guidance on stormwater quality and coastal infrastructure to both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you'll spearhead the coordination of policies, secure funding agreements, and ensure compliance with pertinent permits and regulations.

To excel in this position, you should possess proven experience in Coastal Management and stormwater planning, coupled with a solid grasp of construction practices and environmental considerations. Effective communication skills, collaborative teamwork, and a proactive approach to decision-making are all essential attributes.

What you should have to apply:

  • Tertiary qualification (AQF level 7 or above) or advanced studies in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Experience in catchment management planning
  • Policy development experience
  • Understanding of construction practices
  • Drive to succeed
  • Leadership and people management skills and experience
  • Project consultation and delivery experience

What's nice to have:

  • Local Government experience in Coastal Management, water quality, civil engineering, or equivalent
  • Eligibility for membership to the Institute of Engineers Australia
