This is a great opportunity for a Procurement Officer to join a market leader and be a driver in some of our key procurement projects as we continue to expand. You'll be working with a team of highly skilled procurement professionals; you'll drive innovative ways of working and managing change, leading to significant year-on-year savings.
The primary purpose of the role is to engage with internal/ external stakeholders to provide expertise that support strategic business objectives, including but not limited to expediting, logistics, contract management, procurement activities, and category management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supplier Contract lifecycle management (Supplier Contract & Performance Management); Supplier queries and escalations.
- Support Procurement Manager in Day One Readiness - ensure that Materials and Services sourced via Suppliers are delivered on time and to specification;
- Communicate and maintain Project and Procurement Schedules; Provide document processing assistance when required.
- Liaise with suppliers/vendors to ensure compliance with quality, lead time, specifications, pricing, and documentation standards.
- Identify cost savings and value-added opportunities.
- Assist with system set-up for Tenders, Project Governance and Reporting
- Support the Regional Procurement Head and Procurement Manager, in the delivery of agreed objectives, In-line with the Downer RTS procurement strategy.
- Manage ongoing supplier performance to relevant KPIs and report results
- Support key stakeholders on project related initiatives, bringing your experience and knowledge to drive best for business outcomes.
Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience:
- An ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a close-knit team
- Excellent attention to detail with a can-do attitude and a healthy respect for deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to establish, prioritise and schedule tasks
- Ability to perform data entry and update documents to a high level of accuracy
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel.
