Coordinator Food Services - Rockhampton QLD

This position is accountable for the overall coordination of the Food Services Department at the Rockhampton Hospital and for the promotion of a harmonious and efficient team providing the highest possible service in catering.
- Coordinate, maintain and document Food Safety activities in line with the Queensland Health Food Safety Program and relevant legislation for Rockhampton Hospital.
- Coordinate and maintain menu and diet changes in consultation with Allied Health Professional e.g., Speech Pathologist, Dietitian on Chefmax.
- Advisor for Facilities within CQHHS on the relevant legislation, Food Safety Program and Procurement of food products.
- Attend relevant meetings with Dietitians, Speech Pathologist to ensure that patients are receiving their required Nutritional needs.
- An understanding of the importance of quality, safety and risk in a healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the coordinator and supervision of staff in a multi-disciplinary environment to achieve organisation goals.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Food Services practices, policies and standards, within a large hospital/organisation.
- Experience preparing rosters, managing costs, and managing performance appraisals for staff. Work cover and return to work programs.
- Possession of high level written, negotiation, consultative and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other members of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Well-developed ability to identify opportunities for improvement and a demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement.
- Possession of negotiation, consultative and interpersonal skills in an environment of organisational change.
