We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Information Services team as Coordinator Information Management in a Temporary Full-Time, Fixed Term 9 month Maternity Leave capacity.

This position is based in Colac.
As the Coordinator Information Management you will:
- Have a coordinated approach to operational Information Management (IM) requirements and implementation of IM projects to improve Colac Otway Shire’s processes and procedures in line with business plans and strategies.
- Manage and maintain information security functions in line with Victoria Protective Data Security Standards (VPDSS).
- Provide training to individuals or groups of the organisation on Information Management & security principles including software system usage.
- Maintain organisational compliance with legislative requirements relating to record keeping and information security.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise and provide expert Information Management advice, support and leadership within the Information Management Team.
- Perform appropriate administration functions to ensure that Electronic Document Record Management System (EDRMS) software performs to optimum capabilities.
- Provide day to day functional support and operation of Information Management helpdesk and advice to users of EDRMS including problem solving.
- Ensure the delivery of a customer focused information service offering industry best practice to the organisation.
- Develop and provide guidance to all staff to ensure Council information is complete, accurate, secure and confidential.
About You:
To support your success in this role you will have:
- Qualification(s) in Records Management and/or comprehensive strategic and operational experience in a formal Information Management environment.
- Significant experience in the operation and administration of an EDRMS (Content Manager) together with a high standard of computer skill.
- Sound knowledge and proven experience in the operation of Information Management services, such as correspondence registration, folder classification, creation, maintenance, sentencing and disposal, storage and retrieval of files.
- Ability to identify and understand business processes and process flows and experience in providing advice and recommendations to the business unit with respect to the management of information.
- Ability to display leadership, communication and teamwork skills to effectively coordinate and develop staff within the Information Management team.
- Ability to implement and maintain strategies for the security, integrity and confidentiality of documents.
- High level communication, research, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to run successful projects.
- Experience in the delivery of innovative digitisation solutions and workflows.
- Current Australian driver’s licence is essential.

Salary information: $47.52 to $52.56 per hour plus superannuation
