About the role
This is an incredible opportunity for someone looking to start their career or to expand their skill sets within the disability sector as both a Coordinator of Supports & Recovery Coach. Supporting participants with NDIS funding is at the core of this varied role that will be underpinned by your ability to build and maintain strong relationships with participants and the greater community. The Coordinator of Supports & Recovery Coach will be required to undertake a range of tasks including but not limited to the following:
- Coordinating supports for NDIS participants to help them achieve their goals and live their best life
- Provide and facilitate referral pathways as required
- Monitor and review NDIS participants support and progress
- Coach participants through individual recovery plan development and assist participants to build skills for self-direction and take control of their own lives
- Utilise your strong communication skills to build and manage strong relationships with other local service providers
- Working collaboratively within the team to build upon existing programs and assist in the development of exciting new programs
Key Selection Criteria
- A minimum of Cert 4 in Community Services or higher qualification (Mental Health, Health, Disabilities or equivalent)
- Experience supporting NDIS participants
- Valid drivers licence and comprehensively insured motor vehicle
- Ability to work closely and build rapport with key community members and a wide range of participants
- A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a Criminal Record Check (CRC) issued within the last 12 months that includes working with vulnerable groups
- A valid NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) to be obtained and maintained at your own expense
