This is an exciting and rare opportunity for a quality and safety focused coordinator to join the Quality Safety and Compliance Unit at Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health (SCCH).
We are seeking a skilled and experienced person with a sound understanding of health and safety legal requirements and experience in quality and safety systems in a community health or like sector. This role coordinates safety, quality and clinical risk programs and improvement initiatives and works with staff across the organisation to embed a quality and safety culture.
As the Coordinator of Quality and Safety, you will join a small and dedicated team to drive quality, safety, accreditation and compliance outcomes at SCCH. You will have a real opportunity to make an impact in a growing community health service.
About you
You will be a motivated and experienced individual who is excited about the contribution you can make to a true values-based workforce. You will be an effective leader who can motivate and empower employees to adopt a quality and safety culture and to reflect an accreditation ready organisation.
You will have excellent attention to detail, an ability to think flexibly and innovative within a changing environment and be able to plan work and establish priorities to meet the competing objectives of the role.
You will have a demonstrated understanding of health and safety laws and regulations in the community health or similar sector and experience in incident prevention and management systems.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake and maintain a National Criminal History Check (NCHC), an NDIS Safety Screening check and hold a current valid Working With Children Check. As a healthcare provider, all our staff will need to be triple vaccinated for COVID-19 or have a medical exemption by an authorised medical practitioner.
