Working between our manufacturing sites in Hallam and from your home, we are seeking for Quality Assurance Systems Coordinator, who is keen to learn and improve our processes and drive our success story, making this role yours for 12 month.
Responsibilities of this Position Include:
- Being the sites Subject Matter Expert (SME) in quality pillar tools and methodologies
- Driving quality systems to deliver change improvements in process control for all sites.
- Training and coaching local leadership team and employees on the interpretation of quality data to drive improvements and ensure effective delivery of quality activities.
- Ensuring the business operates within applicable legislative requirements such as safety, quality, environment and security.
- Assisting in leading and developing the culture and employee resources of both sites with respect to operations risk consistent with corporate policies, procedures.
- Actively participating in continuous improvement, delivering to the requirements outlined in the Quality Management System.
- Administering internal and external auditing program.
- Driving FMPC and EMPC programmes.
- Ensuring that agreed company policies and business processes are in place and adhered to including microbiological sampling and testing products and environments.
- Strengthening key relationships with production leads, maintenance, sales functions, head office functions, suppliers and customers.
- In conjunction with site management and corporate, developing and managing information management processes utilising Management Information Systems to report, analyse and drive continuous improvement of operational risk management performance.
- In conjunction with site management and corporate, supporting an effective HACCP plan for the operation in line with corporate policies and procedures.
- Maintaining quality training records and coordinate with department heads on training needs of staff.
- Maintaining risk matrix for quality for both sites.
- Monitoring compliance to processes
- Assessing GMP through weekly and monthly audits. Work with stake holders to close out corrective actions
- Verifying product temperature data through the production process
- Coordinating verification activities across both sites
- Conducting shelf-life validations
- Conducting annual reviews according to the verification schedule
- Carrying out surface swabbing according to environmental monitoring pathogen control plan.
- Analysing and reporting on microbiological results.
- Coordinating, investigating and reporting on product quality complaints
- Ensuring that non-conformance reports are completed and investigated
- Conducting and maintaining internal audits in accordance with the Internal Audit Schedule.
- Preparing and assisting where required for HACCP audits and/or any 3rd party audits
- Maintaining all quality registers and action any escalations accordingly.
- Updating and maintaining the Food safety plan and supporting programmes where required.
- Coordinating the development of SOP’s and Product Specifications according to an agreed format for all manufactured products.
- Ensuring specifications are available for all raw materials and ingredients and monitor supplier conformance to specification.
- Implementing any QMS program upgrades as required and deliver any associated training
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have the following attributes, skills and qualifications: -
- Food Technology and or Science Qualification.
- Sound knowledge of legislative requirements for safety, quality, environment, security and insurance.
- Sound knowledge of HACCP principles.
- An appreciation of consumer protection legal requirements especially as they relate to perishable food products and associated regulatory arrangements in the food industry
- A working knowledge of continuous improvement methods and processes
- A practical understanding of contemporary organisational behaviour and management of change principles
- Leadership skills with the capacity to positively influence people and to initiate and deliver change independently or through teamwork
Excellent communication (verbal and writing), presentation and negotiation skills
Required Experience: -
- 3+ years of CPG/FMCG or equivalent experience with a successful track record in a food manufacturing environment
- Food Technology and or Science Qualification.
- Sound knowledge of HACCP principles
- Internal Audit and HACCP certificate
