The City of Greater Dandenong has now commenced recruitment for an exceptional Coordinator Special Projects within the Community Strengthening Directorate.

As a key position in the Community Strengthening Directorate and member of the Directorate leadership team, this role reports to the Executive Director of Community Strengthening.

The main functions of this role include:

  • Identify, research, plan and deliver Special Projects as determined by Directorate priorities.
  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of change activities within the Community Strengthening Directorate.
  • Facilitate the advancement of performance improvement practices and projects across the Community Strengthening Directorate.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes through the identification, evaluation, application and delivery of projects that increase community, social and economic capital in line with the strategic priorities of Council.

Committed to innovation, change making and achieving the priorities of Council, you will be passionate about both the planning and delivery of projects that increase the wellbeing of residents and visitors alike to Greater Dandenong. You will lead by example and demonstrate Council's core character principles of respect, engagement, accountability, creativity, and honesty.

To be successful in this role you will have the energy and adaptability to juggle, prioritise and reprioritise within a changing environment. Your ability to always exercise professional judgement and your passion for stakeholder engagement will be vital to your success.
