Corporate Counsel - Contract & Transactional

ARG Workforce has partnered with a global technology leader specialising in natural gas and diesel power systems to engage an experienced Corporate Counsel person for the following position based in the Scoresby Area.

In this position, you will support the Asia Pacific legal team to provide advice to various business segments across the Asia Pacific region in all business segments with a focus on contract (supply & purchase) and transactional matters.

This position is an initial 6-month contracted role with a view for permanent conversion. 

Main duties/Accountabilities:

• Review, draft and advise on contracts and transactional matters across the Asia Pacific region in all business segments.
• Interpreting/applying legislation, codes and standards.
• Provides support and leadership in legal function projects.

The successful candidate will possess:

• Minimum 5 years experience post admission. Contract law experience preferably in-house but private practice would be considered.
• Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor and Practising Certificate.
• Ability to collaborate and work within a team and cross-functionally.
• Ability to pass pre-employment assessment including drug and alcohol screening.
