Corporate Finance Manager

The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Corporate Finance Manager to join their growing Corporate Finance team in Sydney.
Our client provides a holistic advisory service offering for clients covering:
Debt, M&A, Equity Capital, Valuations, and Transactional Services.
As a Manager, you will have the opportunity to make an impact on a wide array of engagements including M&A, debt advisory, capital raising, transaction services and strategic advisory services, across a range of industries, public and private companies and of various levels of complexity.
You will be a member of a high-performing, tight-knit, cohesive and outcome-focused team that delivers high quality, technically sound advice, and deliverables to their clients.
What will your typical week look like?

• Project managing and providing the key deliverables required for the successful execution of client engagements, such as financial models, Information Memorandums, and other reports depending on the nature of the engagement;
• Critically analysing company data and market information;
• Building financial models or validating third-party models;
• Contributing to financial due diligence engagements by conducting investigations, developing high quality data books, and authoring associated reports;
• Undertaking industry and company research for business development and marketing purposes;
• Interacting and building relationships with partners, clients, and any other key stakeholders both internal and external;
• Developing, coaching, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Criteria
You are someone with:

• A degree in commerce, finance, or accounting. CA/CPA, CFA and MBA are highly desirable;
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Corporate Finance team within a large firm, investment bank or boutique advisory firm; In-house M&A/Corporate Development and buy-side investment experiences are also considered;
• Experience with 3-way modelling (i.e. income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement modelling).
• A clear understanding of core Corporate Finance principles and experience in deal execution on M&A transactions, capital raisings, IPOs and/or other commercial transactions from commencement to conclusion;
• Previous experience in M&A Transaction Services and financial modelling, and exceptional financial analytics skills are highly regarded;
• The ability to work efficiently and flexibly across a variety of sectors, delivering a full range of services to clients;
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders;
• Effective written communication skills;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and PPT and analytical tools such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Debtwire and Merger Market.
