Gastronomy is looking for an experienced, passionate and creative Head Chef to join our team working within a corporate client’s offices.


THE PERSON
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Chef who takes pride in creating beautiful food. You will display flexibility, creativity and adaptability and be capable of designing and producing a wide range of international and local cuisine for our client’s needs. You will have excellent time management skills, a high standard of personal presentation and be a true team player who leads by example. 


You will have previous experience leading and inspiring kitchen teams as well as a high level of customer service skills, to confidently liaise with clients on menus and recipes. The ability to think on your feet and juggle multiple things at once whilst upholding standards is essential. You will be highly organised, have a sound knowledge of pastry, experience working across a range of cuisines and a passion for using local produce and suppliers. 


THE ROLE
This position is based in our clients' corporate offices, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen – designing, preparing and producing daily meeting and event menus to match our client’s needs. 

Every day will include production, service and client interaction working closely with the front of house team to ensure an exceptional client experience. 

You will lead the kitchen team through your hands-on approach and operational knowledge.

MINIMUM CRITERIA

  • Chef Trade Qualification
  • Experience working within a Corporate environment
  • Extensive experience in similar Chef role working for premium catering or fine dining
  • Experience in leading teams of kitchen staff
  • Ability to communicate clearly and have excellent verbal and written English
  • Food Safety Supervisors Certificate
  • Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia (other VISAs will be considered depending on your unlimited VISA restrictions)
