About BCCWA

Breast Cancer Care WA is a unique not-for-profit organisation that is dedicated to providing free specialist breast care nursing, mental health, peer support, as well as practical and financial assistance to all Western Australians and their families both during and after a breast cancer diagnosis. .

Established in 2000, the organization grew from one woman’s commitment to make a difference in the lives of people with breast cancer. Today, their vision is to ensure that all people living in WA have access to the best breast cancer support and education.

Breast Cancer Care WA is entirely funded through donations and appeals such as Purple Bra Day; however, with growing demand for services they need to secure additional financial support to ensure they can continue delivering our essential services to all Western Australians.

About the Role

The Corporate Partnerships Manager oversees the execution of the fundraising strategy, emphasizing the growth and management of the corporate relationships portfolio. The role involves identifying and cultivating diverse stakeholder relationships for new revenue streams and portfolio expansion, focusing on meaningful, mutually beneficial connections for long-term growth.

Role Responsibilities

  • Utilise and leverage your existing network to activate meaningful new relationships to ensure the growth of the Corporate Partnerships portfolio and advancing BCCWA and our purpose
  • Apply your experience and skill, to identify and cultivate new mutually beneficial partnerships and relationships with corporates
  • Effectively engage, manage and steward assigned existing relationships within the Corporate Partnerships’ portfolio
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to build a sound pipeline of and grow engagement with a portfolio of existing corporate partners
  • Work to the corporate relations budget within your assigned and defined financial parameters
  • Develop and implement tailored partnership engagement plans
  • Develop and activate renewal and growth plans for existing partners
  • Work internally with BCCWA staff to craft highly compelling, impactful and recognisable program communications
  • Ensure that Breast Cancer Care WA is promoted in a way that reflects the mission statement and the key messages of the organization

Essential Skills and attributes

  • An existing network of high-end corporate contacts.
  • Proven success in Partnerships fundraising.
  • Strong commercial sales experience is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability in prospect identification and engagement for scoping, developing and securing all new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to retain and grow revenue from an existing partnership portfolio.
  • Proven success managing partnerships/accounts and meeting mutually agreed project objectives 
  • Ability to develop, work to and report on financial performance, with the view to sharing with Executive and Board level leadership.
  • Excellent networking, project management and relationship building skills  
  • Strong research, pitch, presentation and negotiation skills, particularly within a Corporate environment 
  • Knowledge of current/emerging fundraising developments, innovations and initiatives in charitable/not-for-profit sector, within health is advantageous.
  • High level communication skills – particularly in pitching, negotiating and contracting through strategic propositions and tailored cases for support 
  • Proven ability to work both autonomously and as part of a dynamic, outcomes focused team
  • Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and professionally
