Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to play a key role in supporting the Director Corporate Services across the breadth of Corporate Services functions to ensure the efficient internal operations of Defence SA. This role will utilise your skills and experience in HR, contracts register management, asset management – including ICT as well as some processing of invoices.
This role will report to the Director Corporate Services and work with all staff in the agency to optimise the internal operations to ensure health and wellbeing, WHS and governance requirements are met.

The Chief Executive of Defence SA is also the Chief Executive of Veterans SA and the South Australian Space Industry Centre. Role Purpose/Context:
The Corporate Services Coordinator works within the Corporate Services team and is responsible for providing a wide range of administrative support to Defence SA including but not limited to:
- Administrative operations management: Coordinating internal HR documentation for contracts, assist with onboarding, monitoring internal HR reporting to improve compliance, and Work Health & Safety (WHS) support.
- Contracts Register management: Inputting and managing data in the contracts register, including responsibility for reporting on PARS.
- ICT asset management: Providing best practice administrative operations and procedures, which support the strategic objectives of Defence SA.
- Organisational development: Coordinating staff Professional Development, internal monitoring of mandatory training and agency returns.
- Proven well developed ability to work under limited direction, either independently or in a team environment and effectively manage high volumes of work, determine priorities to meet deadlines and show initiative in developing new work practices or taking on new tasks.
- Proven ability to cope with pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Proven ability to acquire knowledge and learn relevant new skills in short time frames.
- Proven sound ability to research, access and analyse data and information and report and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated keyboard skills and exceptional proficiency in the use of personal computers, including word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software such as the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated history of meeting deadlines and producing quality work.
- Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and to use diplomacy, discretion and tact.
- Ability to sustain high level performance, prioritise and organise work to achieve goals and meet deadlines, including dealing with competing demands.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide range of stakeholders, including establishing and maintaining networks.
- Proven experience in the compilation of information from across an agency for the preparation of reports, agendas, and discussion papers.
- Experience in the use of Objective or similar electronic records management system.
- Working knowledge of public sector human resource and administrative policies, practices and procedures.
- Knowledge and commitment to the principles and practices of Work Health and Safety (WHS) and ability to show leadership and implement WHS practices and programs.

Special Conditions
This is a contract up to 3 years. The incumbent is required to enter into a performance agreement. Work outside of normal hours may be required.
