Are you ready for a unique opportunity to have a significant impact on the lives of First Nations peoples,while being part of our supportive & proactive team?The Indigenous Land and sea Corporation (ILSC) has a vacant position for a Corporate Services Officer to join our Finance & Corporate Services team, to effectively assist in managing ILSC’s corporate administration activities and associated records management.
About Us
The Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation (ILSC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the ATSI Act and subject to the PGPA Act. The ILSC assists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to realise economic, social, cultural and environmental benefits that the ownership and management of land, water and water related rights can bring. The ILSC provides this assistance through the acquisition and management of rights and interests in land, salt water and freshwater country.
About the Role
In this multifaceted role under the direction of the Manager Finance, you will assist with ILSCs administrative functions, as well as provide secondary support to the Finance team as follows:
Administrative duties:
- Managing and assisting with flight and accommodation travel bookings for employees
- Checking and processing of staff travel allowances
- Managing the register and allocation of accountable forms
- Undertaking reception duties including answering telephone enquiries and maintaining meeting rooms as required
- Assisting with the handling of incoming and outgoing courier and mail packages
- Overseeing the ordering and maintenance of office and consumable stock supplies and;
- The responsibility for site operation tasks such as the management of office access passes, facility requirements and point of contact for communication with Building Facilities Management.
Finance duties:
- Preparing and processing invoices and claims for payment;
- Inputting financial data using a computerised accounting package;
- Processing cheques/EFT for payment; and
- Maintaining associated financial records.
