Situated in and around the southern tip of the Eyre Peninsula and incorporating 709 kilometres of magnificent coastline, the Lower Eyre Peninsula is a hidden gem known for it's diversity across commercial, agricultural, aquaculture and tourism industries. Reporting to the Director Corporate Services and Community, the Manager Corporate Services is responsible for ensuring the effective, efficient, and customer-focused delivery of Corporate Services including:
- Administration & Customer Experience
- Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Human Resources
- Work Health & Safety
- Risk Management
The purpose of the position is aimed at ensuring the following:
- A contemporary, customer focussed experience is provided to our rural and coastal communities.
- The administrative function of Council is proactively managed and provides consistency and support across all divisions of Council.
- Support is provided to the Director and Managers in various facets of human resources management; and Council has a robust Risk Management & Employee Safety program to mitigate various aspects of Council risk & provide a safe workplace.
- Council effectively manages its governance responsibilities, including compliance with legislative requirements in relation to the Local Government Act and other legislation under which Council operates.
- Continuous Improvement is a focus within all aspects of Council Operations.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a senior management role, ideally working in a busy customer-focused environment. You will have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent problem-solving skills, and have the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritise your workload, and that of your team, to meet deadlines.
