Our national Corporate & Commercial group works with our clients across a variety of sectors, across the full spectrum of corporate and commercial transactions, including:

Our Sydney office is seeking a corporate Associate / Senior Associate with 3-6 PAE, specialising in M&A transactions, to join the Corporate & Commercial group. This position provides the opportunity to join Holding Redlich at an exciting time and to be part of a growing and dynamic team.
As a key member of the group, you will work alongside Partners Darren Pereira and William Kontaxis on a broad mix of M&A, often involving national corporates and private equity, for a range of clients in a growing practice. You will also be offered the opportunity to work with the teams in our Melbourne and Brisbane offices.
On large transactions, you will work closely with the partners; on smaller transactions, you will be comfortable taking the lead with appropriate support.
Given the make-up of our team, you will work directly with partners and clients on transactions and have the support of several junior lawyers.
About you
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of post-admission experience in corporate and commercial law. Ideally, you will have gained this experience in a top-tier, mid-tier or national law firm or a specialist corporate/M&A firm.
At this level of post-admission, we would expect you to have an in-depth knowledge of the relevant legislation in this area of practice. Alongside this you will have gained exposure to a range of corporate transactions and investments, including:
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Private equity
- Joint ventures
- Shareholder Agreements
- Share Sale Agreements
- Asset Sale Agreements
- Due Diligence Reports
- Corporations Act advice
- Excellent drafting, critical and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- A strong desire to work as a member of a team whilst servicing client needs and developing business
- An aptitude for training and managing the work of the junior members of the team
- Experience in juggling multiple priorities and have good client management skills and strong attention to detail
