The Thales Australia Above Water Systems (AWS) domain offers ship repair services, maintenance and asset management / in-service support capabilities for commercial and naval ships in Australia.
To strengthen the Project Management Office (PMO) of our Above Water Systems business we are seeking an Associate Cost Schedule Analyst to join our Garden Island based team. You will be responsible for the development & maintenance of Earned Value Management data for the assigned element of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to form the Performance Management Baseline.
This challenging role offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase your experience and work on a range of technical, large scale projects across different maritime platforms, supporting both Bid and Project planning and execution phases.
This position is based at our Garden Island facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain project management artefacts such as Work Breakdown Structure, Responsibility Assignment Matrix, Control Account and Work Package Description Documents etc.
- Contribute to implementation of EVM methods and reporting
- Perform Deep analysis of the Cost Account Manager and Work Package Manager workload and financial data to support the EAC reviews
- Carry out analysis of schedule and cost performance and prepare periodic reports and charts
- Highlight areas of schedule, budget & resource concern and identify actions for improving performance
- Prepare PMO monthly reporting inputs for Control Account/Work Package/Programme dashboards
- Work collaboratively with all key project stakeholders to support the successful project delivery
- Experience in Project planning and Controls and Project Management
- Demonstrated knowledge of the project management lifecycle
- Knowledge Earned Value Management
- Experience in the use of EVM system tool (Cobra or other)
- Experienced in Primavera and Scheduling Tools
- You must be an Australian citizen to be eligible for an Australian Defence security clearance
- This role will also require you to work with information covered by the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) and as such your nationality may affect your eligibility for the role
