Your RoleAs an integral part of this innovative 3 Tier Youth Mental Health Program (3TYMHP) you will be responsible for:
- Providing counselling, therapeutic interventions as part of Tier 3 of the 3TYMHP.
- Provide additional support to develop and deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 activities as directed.
- Work collaboratively with clinical staff and GPds partners including those located in the Peel Health Hub
- Ensure services provided to clients are co-ordinated, integrated and aligned to the goals and objectives of the 3TYMHP program
- Maintain accurate clinical records of progress, interventions and services provided to clients
- Preparation and submission of reports and program evaluations as required
- Provide additional clinical support to General Practitioners working in the Peel Health Hub where necessary
- Qualification in Counselling or other relevant health profession with mental health experience.
- Experience in delivering counselling to young people and demonstrated knowledge of a therapeutic approach to help young clients.
- Experience in working with and establishing rapport with young people.
- Experience in working with other professionals and teams in the shared care of youth mental health.
- Demonstrated ability and experience of record keeping, preparation and submission of reports and computer literacy.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- An understanding of Best Practice clinical software or similar is highly regarded
