WestCASA is a partner with the Gatehouse Centre, Victoria Police (Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team – SOCIT and the Westgate Family Violence Unit), IPC Health, Women’s Health West, and Child Protection in the Multi-Disciplinary Centre (MDC) in the City of Wyndham.

This includes trans, gender diverse and non-binary people of all gender identities and expressions as well as cis gendered women and men. Reporting to the Area Lead this role provides support and trauma counselling to women, men, diverse gender people and young people (aged 12 years and over) who have experienced sexual violence and related family violence trauma either recently or in the past, and support and psychoeducation to non-offending partners, family and friends.
Our Counsellor Advocates develop and maintain professional and community based networks and links, providing targeted training and education to our community and contributions to our professional networks.
(The successful incumbent will have Post-graduate qualifications in either Master of Social Work or Master of Counselling or equivalent and familiarity with the relevant risk assessment protocols and redress schemes.)
