Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Country Risk and Compliance Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the GM of Finance & Compliances ANZ ,The Country Risk and Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of regulatory compliance, Licensing Compliance and Customs Regulations within Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within our organization. Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure compliance with local customs regulations and maintain certifications necessary for duty-free operations (e.g., alcohol, tobacco).
- Manage relationships with local customs authorities (ABF), Australian Tax office, Various State Licensing & Liaise with government agencies.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on customs procedures, regulations, and requirements.
- Provide expert advice and support on licensing matters and regulatory compliance related to imports, exports, and incoterms. Manage relationships with licensing authorities.
- Support sourcing initiatives and customs solutions with Buying and Supply Chain teams related to imports, exports, and duty liabilities.
- Manage local insurance policies and annual renewals. Oversee loss prevention activities to minimize risks.
- Ensure inventory compliance and stock control, addressing any non-compliance issues promptly.
- Work with the Finance Team to manage cash compliance activities.
Experience and Specific Requirements:
- 3+ Years of Compliance management experience
- Current Customs Broker License is an advantage
- 2+ years’ Licensing experience
- Leadership experience with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in IT systems including Office, ERP Software, SAP reporting, and treasury knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is an advantage
