SalaryWe are seeking a passionate designer who has both the flare and technical capability to create 3D and technical drawings. The successful candidate will have the ability to design both 2D and 3D models complimented with the ability to produce technical drawing for our production team.
The role:
- Create, maintain, and modify drawings that accurately reflect design intent, are dimensionally correct, easy to read, and are up to company and building standards.
- Liaising with key stakeholders about drawings and deadline achievements.
- Take ownership of high-quality deliverables in 2D design and 3D modelling
- Planning and prioritising work based on incoming tasks.
- Work closely with the production teams to:
- Ensure products are manufactured to specification.
- Resolve issues related to product design and manufacture.
- Compile concepts and technical drawing for external stakeholders.
- Work with Production Manager to coordinate product development.
- Maintain and produce materials list for the purpose of purchasing for production.
- Ideation of new product direction (concept, development, refinement).
- Produce and present product concept direction for new products and redevelopment of existing products.
- Design and develop point of sale/display unit concepts and details specifications.
- Manage client Graphic requirements and ensure deadlines are met.
- Flexible working arrangement, work from home option available.
Essential:
- Tertiary CAD qualification or equivalent
- Experience in 2D and 3D CAD software.
- Demonstrable skills using some of the following: Auto Cad, Revisit, Sketch Up, Ray, Ironclad.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Sound technical knowledge.
