About the role:
The Credit officer is a full-time position based at our North Ryde Head office.
Reporting to the Credit Manager, this role is responsible for proactively and skilfully managing the collections process, ensuring the timely recovery of outstanding debts while preserving positive relationships internally and externally.
Key Accountabilities:
- Obtain payment of accounts within agreed trading terms
- Ensure any arrears are collected promptly.
- Resolve customer account issues.
- Facilitate the resolution of claims within the Region.
- Refer delinquent accounts to the Credit Manager for possible external collection action.
- Reducing the value of overdue debt to minimise the businesses debtor working capital requirement.
- Maintain records of outstanding debts and schedule follow up of outstanding and bad debts.
- Reconcile overdue debts via letters/telephone and organise debt collection/recovery.
- Data entry of Customer Master and other relevant records.
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Credit Management Desirable
- 3-5 years' experience in collections
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Successful internal and external customer working relationship.
- Proven work history in Credit Officer role in a relevant industry.
- Tech savvy, experience with MS Office suites
