As a Credit Portflio Manager, you will assess commercial finance deals, working with internal & external stakeholders to bring this together in a timely manner. The role will suit a people person with an analytical mindset that genuinely cares about their clients. Your main focus will be on existing clients, ensuring they are looked after and retention is obtained.
About the opportunity:
- Conducting credit analysis of existing new loans by evaluating the borrower's financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to ensure that the loan fits within the company's risk appetite
- Managing the credit risk associated with the portfolio of loans, by detecting potential risks, evaluating their potential consequences, and creating risk mitigation plans
- Conducting due diligence checks on prospective borrowers
- Managing the client relationship, by communicating openly with clients to understand their financial pain points, providing tailored solutions, and overseeing the ongoing relationship
- Reporting & Compliance
About you:
- Experience as a Senior Credit Analyst, Credit Manager or Relationship Manager
- Strong understanding of the financial services industry, such as financial analysis skills and regulatory knowledge
- Previous experience with commercial finance (Ideal but not essential)
- Exceptional relationship management skills to build relationships with brokers who submit deals, borrowers, and teammates
- High level of attention to detail, especially from a compliance point of view
- Strategic thinking to anticipate potential risks and devise risk mitigation strategies
