AS A CREDIT RISK ANALYST WILL…
Responsible for spreading counterparty financials, conducting financial analysis on financials, making recommendations based on analysis, and preparing write-ups of large credit requests where credit memorandums are to be submitted to the SG Fleet Credit Committee for consideration and decisioning.
The role is part of a team who utilises its Credit Risk assessment skills and applies well-reasoned credit rationale to recommend credit proposals for approval or otherwise.
The major responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Partner and interact daily with the SGF Sales Team to ensure that all credit applications and tasks are decisioned within SG Fleet's Credit policy
- Decision Corporate Credit applications within SG Fleet Credit Policy and Delegated Credit Authority limits
- Ensuring compliance and consistent application of policies, procedures, and legislation
- Provide day-to-day support to the Credit Risk Manager and to the Head of Credit on an ad-hoc basis
- Assist with problem-solving, training, and mentoring of less experienced credit personnel in the Credit team when required
Essential
- Demonstrated experience at reading and analysing independently corporate financial statements and associated risk assessments
- Basic credit underwriting skills
- Working knowledge of legal documentation and applicable legal business codes
- Strong technical/numerical skills including critical analysis and problem solving
- Effective communicator both verbally and in writing
- Ability to communicate professionally
- Strong adherence to processes
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload appropriately
- Be proactive and work independently, while adopting a positive and enthusiastic manner
- An understanding of business acumen and commercial awareness
Desirable
- Understanding of consumer finance procedures and administration
- Understanding of legal documentation in relation to Consumer Credit Act
- Understanding of the general legal process for the collection of debt
- Current knowledge of fleet management products, services, systems, and processes
