About the role:
Bizcap are looking for their next Credit / Risk Manager to join their growing team. Our ideal candidate will have experience in interpreting and making decisions on funding approval for both secured and unsecured business loans.
What you’ll be doing:
- Perform risk assessments for loan offers to SME’s
- Provide analysis of loan offers and trend reporting on loan diversification and trends
- Lead process improvements in our Underwriting function
- Stay abreast of economic variables and changes to evaluate their impact on the underwriting and risk assessment function.
- Assessing and providing hardship support to clients from time to time.
- Experience in a similar Risk or Credit role
- Background in credit underwriting
- Experience making decisions on funding approval for both secured and unsecured loans
- Property backed underwriting knowledge would be preferred
- Previous experience in alternative lenders or non-banking entities desirable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver under pressure
- A genuine interest in solving problems and thinking outside of the box
- Able to structure loans that are sometime outside of the box and does meet the normal requirements
- Fluency in English is essential
- Advanced Excel skills
