We currently have an opportunity for a Crisis and Security Manager to join our team. You will play a pivotal role within an organization, collaborating with managers across SI&CS to assess security requirements and documenting procedures. This is a proactive role that will identify potential threats and formulate response strategies to mitigate them before they escalate into crises. This role is integral throughout the entire crisis management process, from pre-crisis planning to crisis response and recovery to all potential events.
Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, you can also expect to be involved in the advancement of our security and crisis management function; from innovating processes, to assisting on a variety of internal projects.
What you'll do
The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:
- Design and implement a robust crisis management framework with tailored emergency response strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance organizational resilience.
- Conduct regular risk evaluations and develop pre-emptive measures using data-driven insights to prioritize safety initiatives and resource allocation.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, including local government agencies, acting as a strategic advisor to align emergency management with organizational objectives.
- Oversee comprehensive training programs to enhance emergency preparedness across all team levels, ensuring effective crisis management.
- Lead continuous improvement of emergency management processes through innovative practices and technologies, adapting strategies based on feedback and lessons learned.
- Develop and manage effective communication strategies, providing regular updates and detailed reports on emergency preparedness and response measures to senior management.
What you'll bring
- Extensive practical experience in crisis, security and emergency management.
- Formal qualifications Emergency Management, Risk Management, Public Safety.
- Crisis Communication/Public Relations Training.
- Demonstrable track record of developing and implementing effective crisis management strategies and emergency response plans.
- Proven experience in managing real-life crisis situations, demonstrating the ability to remain calm under pressure and make decisive, informed decisions.
