The Role 
Are you looking to make the next step in your journalism career at SBS News? 

This role will include covering both domestic and international news, including both breaking stories and original approved pitches across intake and output.

The ideal candidate will relish versatility in their storytelling, covering reporting and producing roles in SBS News.

Understanding the importance of social media and driving content online is a key part of the role, with ideas on different story treatments.

About you
An ability to work a seven-day, shift-work roster is essential for this position.

In addition, you will ideally have:

• Broadcast reporting and production experience for both packaging and live
• Provided content across all platforms: TV, radio, and digital
• Experience identifying, arranging, and carrying out interviews as well as chasing exclusive and distinctive elements of stories in the field and from the office
• An ability to show technical adaptability and flexibility
• Strong background and knowledge of international and domestic events - in addition you will have a sound understanding of stories which resonate with our diverse audiences, and knowledge of SBS Charter and SBS Code of Conduct.
