Position Overview:
As a Casual Crowd Controller/Security Officer at Neptune NT Security, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the safety and security of patrons and premises at various events, venues, and Shopping Centres.
- Crowd control and management during events and within Shopping Centre environments, including monitoring customer flow to prevent theft and disturbances.
- Conducting regular patrols of the Shopping Centre to deter and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Responding promptly to security concerns, incidents, and emergencies in Shopping Centres, including administering first aid.
- Providing a high level of customer service to shoppers and retail staff, assisting with directions and information.
- Operating security systems and equipment effectively, including CCTV monitoring.
- De-escalating aggressive behaviour by communicating effectively and maintaining a calm presence in stressful situations.
Essential Requirements:
- Current Crowd Controller/Security Officer license for the Northern Territory.
- Current First Aid certificate.
- Physical fitness and good health.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work in a team and adapt to different working environments, including retail settings.
- Experience in Shopping Centre Security or a willingness to undergo specific training related to retail security environments.
