The Opportunity

• Black Cat Civil are looking for an experienced Crushing & Screening Lead to join our Projects and Fleet teams.
• This role will be supporting Blackcat Civil Crushing and Screening operations across the business. The successful candidate will be required to work out of either the Darwin or Sunshine Coast offices, depending on point of hire.
• There will be a requirement to fly on a regular basis to BCC Crushing Projects.
• Accommodation and food are provided by Black Cat Civil whilst working away on roster.

Key responsibilities include:

Projects

• Advising the best configurations of plant and technical advice when projects are mobilsing.
• Ensure sufficient levels of spare and high utilised parts is established and mobilised for each project, monitoring of stock levels with site fitters.
• Attend site for the establishment of the crushing equipment to produce maximum outputs and reliability.
• Train and mentor operators on best practice and what problem solving is required when loading, moving, and clean outs.
• Regular site visits to ensure the above practices are being maintained.
• Attend site for inspection of material and conditions to ensure correct GET

Fleet

• Point of contact for problems from site teams.
• Procurement and assistance off all parts.
• Regular communication with OEM’s and suppliers.

Requirements of the Role

• Holds an extensive knowledge of plant specifications, for example optimal engine speed, calibrating wear parts, determining and setting the close size setting
• Minimum 15 years extensive Crushing and Screening experience
• Minimum 5 years in Crushing and Screening management role
• Mobile Plant and/or Trade Qualified (desirable)
• Have demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office;
• Certificate IV in Frontline Management (desirable);
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
• Certificate III Screen and Crushing
