Brisbane Civil is a rapidly growing Civil Construction company located on the south-side of Brisbane. The scope of our projects are local infrastructure, residential subdivisions and commercial civil infrastructure projects. Our expertise ranges from bulk earthworks, road construction, sewer, stormwater and structural landscaping.
Due to continued company growth, Brisbane Civil is currently searching for an experienced Leading Hand with great leadership qualities prepared to lead from the front and work collaboratively with our team and client.
The ideal candidate for the role will have the following attributes.
- Carry out project objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Carry out risk assessment of each project and plan a response to treat the risk.
- Monitor all safety issues and report directly to the Plant and Compliance Manager.
- Ensure work site is free of waste and maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Communicate in a professional manner to all internal and external stakeholders, manage all communication on operation issues between management and co-workers.
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal regulations are met with all projects.
- Maintain accurate daily site diaries.
- Work closely with management and stakeholder to ensure a safe and efficient operation of the site.
- Ensure of local, state and federal legislation, regulations and protocols are adhered to.
- Complete site inspections.
- Ensure all equipment on site have had Daily PreStart completed.
- Ensure SWMS monitoring activities are completed, HSEQ compliance requirements are met on site.
- Ensure site has appropriate equipment and human resources in consultation with Director/Project Manager.
Ideally the candidate has 4-5 years' experience as a Leading Hand with supporting references to validate their experience and skill set.
