Role description
The Grade 4 or above Instrument Technician performs a senior role in CSSD under the supervision and guidance of the operating suite unit manager. They are expected to carry out all the duties of the Grade 4 or above Instrument Technician (processing, autoclaving and distributing sterile supplies to all internal and external customers) with a high degree of autonomy and accountability. In addition, the Grade 4 or above Instrument Technician is required to actively assist in the supervision of staff including training, mentoring, performance management and orientation of new staff in the unit.

A certificate IV in Sterilisation services or equivalent,
Highly developed organisational skills
A minimum of 3 years as an Instrument Technician
