Ballarat Day Procedure Centre comprises of three operating theatres and offers a broad range of surgical services for all patients. Surgical specialities include Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, IVF, Plastics, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Urology, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Dental.
We are seeking an experienced CSSD Manager to join us on a permanent full-time basis. The key responsibilities of this role is to provide best sterilisation practice’s at all time, and support and guide the CSSD team in accordance with the core values and behaviours of the Hospital.
To be successful in your application for this position, you will have:
- Ability to lead and motivate staff in a team environment
- Ability to promote a continual improvement philosophy amongst the CSSD team
- Skilled in effective methods of communication, interpersonal relationships and public relations
- A comprehensive knowledge of the principles of disinfection and sterilisation standards.
- To be able to demonstrate a high level of motivation in the achievement of set objectives.
- To be punctual and reliable and keep absenteeism minimal
- Demonstrate strong attention to details and accurate data entry.
- Able to independently make decisions and act when appropriate.
Essential criteria
- Current Certificate IV in Sterilization or equivalent qualification
- Management or Supervisory experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a sterilisation environment is desirable
