Position Summary: As the CSSD Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest quality healthcare standards for our patients. You will oversee the decontamination, packing, and sterilisation of all reusable instruments and equipment for use by the Operating Theatres and Wards, adhering to AS5369:2023 standards and IFUs (instructions for use). Reporting to the Perioperative Services Manager, your leadership will be instrumental in our mission to deliver top-tier care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventing and controlling healthcare-associated infections
- Providing leadership and conflict resolution within the CSSD team
- Conducting monthly audits and in-service education sessions
- Organizing equipment maintenance and repairs
- Managing CSSD staff rosters and allocations
Selection Criteria:
- Certificate III in Health Service Assistance Sterilizing Services or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience in sterilising complex medical instruments
- Comprehensive knowledge of AS5369:2023 and relevant sterilization standards
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Current National Police Clearance
- Experience with MS applications, training program development, and tertiary education in management (Desirable)
