CSSD Technician

Pacific Private Hospital is a surgery facility located on the Gold Coast. An opportunity exists within our friendly customer focused team for an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated person to work in our CSSD Department.

Pacific Private Hospital currently has a vacancy for an experienced CSSD Technician to join their established team on a part-time basis. 

As a CSSD Technician your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the standards of sterilising practice and infection control are followed at all times
• Cleaning, washing, packing, wrapping and sterilising of reusable instruments, equipment and consumables used in operating theatre 
• Performing, interpreting, documenting and mechanical, chemical and biological quality assurance tests 
• Utilising electronic tracking system, ScanCARE.

Pacific Private Hospital currently has 5 operating theatres with an additional 2 theatres in January 2024 , located on the beautiful Gold Coast. Close to trams and located next to a opposite shopping complex.

Essential Criteria:

• Certificate III or higher in Sterilisation essential
• Sound knowledge of AS/NZ 4187 2014
• Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation
• Experience with tracking systems
• Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to resolve issues and troubleshoot within the department
• Basic computer literacy skills - including MS office and various data bases

Desired Criteria

• 3 years' experience working in a hospital CSSD

Special Requirements

All new employees

• must be up-to-date in their vaccination
• Must provide a current Police check (from the last 12 months) or willing to apply for one
