About Sunshine Coast Day Surgery 

Sunshine Coast Day Surgery is an accredited, twin-theatre facility, and dedicated gastroenterology unit, with a focus on advanced medical technology and quality patient care. The facility in Maroochydore provides a broad range of surgical services to the Sunshine Coast community including Ophthalmology, Gastroenterology, Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery, Dental, Orthopaedic and IVF/ Gynaecological Services. 

We are currently seeking an experienced CSSD Technician to join our friendly, professional team in an employee supportive environment on a permanent part-time basis. 

To be successful in your application for this position, you will have:

• A high level of efficiency & accuracy
• Knowledge of and adherence to safe work practices
• The ability to manage time and workflow within a multi-disciplinary team
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work in a team and independently, and to complete tasks within designated time frames
• Strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills and time management skills
• Endoscope reprocessing will be well regarded but not essential

Essential Criteria:

• Certificate III in Sterilisation
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in CSSD, with demonstrated delivery of exceptional technical skills within all areas of the Sterilisation Department (cleaning, decontaminating, sorting, assembling and tracking surgical instrument trays)
