Where you'll be working
Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) is responsible for providing care to patients who reside within the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD), but also to several state-based services in line with hospital specialties. The successful applicant to this position shall be working within the CT modality of the RNS Hospital Medical Imaging Department, based in St.Leonards NSW.
What you'll be doing
A vacancy exists for a Permanent part time Senior Radiographer of the CT Department at RNS Hospital 2 days per week, to manage and lead a dynamic team. This role requires an experienced leader, focussed on delivery of quality clinical service predominantly to emergency, inpatients and outpatients. The successful applicant must have demonstrated experience within a senior role and be capable of multi-tasking with good attention to detail. Strong communication skills are an essential quality when working in this multidisciplinary, busy team environment.
The CT Senior Radiographer is required to lead the clinical quality through the imaging modality, whilst ensuring that dose levels are within National DRLs, and maintain performance of examinations in a safe and timely manner across the 24/7 service. This role must demonstrate a high level of knowledge and proficiency in complex clinical procedures, with prior experience in a Tertiary referral trauma hospital. An active participation in teaching and educating others is a key component of the role, as well as the development of scanning protocols and training material. Experience of managing staff (including completion of monthly staff rosters), is expected.

- Current AHPRA registration to work as a Radiographer, with the MRPB of Australia and a valid EPA Radiation Licence.
- Ability to perform complex clinical procedures within specialist modality with a high degree of competency.
- Establishment of clinical protocols, manuals, quality assurance and departmental Continuous Quality Improvement activities.
- Act as an appropriate and effective role model and promote a culture and supporting practices that reflect the organisational values through demonstrated professional behaviour and interactions with patients/clients and employees (commensurate with years of experience).
