Role Overview

The Culture & HR Manager plays a critical role in working with the CEO and the leadership team at The Centre for Women & Co. This role is vital to achieving our organisational vision and mission, and to promoting and ensuring an environment that drives a healthy, inclusive, and safe culture.  

The Culture & HR Manager is responsible for maintaining, implementing, and managing all aspects of the strategic and day-to-day operations of Human Resources functions, Occupational Health and Safety Management, and team culture and wellbeing. This position will have the authority to make strategic decisions on behalf of the organisation, in consultation with the CEO and COO, and will strategically develop and drive HR operational initiatives.  

The Culture & HR Manager will support The Centre for Women & Co. teams to achieve business objectives and performance benchmarks, while sustaining a culture where business excellence, training, skills development, and innovation are priorities. The ideal candidate will embody our values of integrity, respect, and compassion, and will be deeply committed to fostering a workplace that champions diversity, equity, and continuous improvement. 

This role is a true generalist role we are looking for someone who is hands on, warm and supportive for our team.  

Key Responsibilities

As the Culture and HR Manager for CFW and MACS, you'll oversee all HR processes, including occupational health and safety, in coordination with the CEO and COO. Support the leadership team in recruitment and HR functions, maintain and enhance the CFW Team Culture and Wellbeing Framework, and inform strategic HR decisions. Ensure compliance with HSQF policies, update HR systems, and keep policies aligned with legislative changes. Manage HR administration systems, guide performance management, Workcover, and fair work matters, and lead OH&S principles. Foster a supportive work environment and drive continuous improvement with the Risk & Compliance team. Support the Risk & Culture Project Officer in risk management and cultural initiatives, promoting professional development and effective communication across departments. 

Salary and Benefits

  • $58.13 - $60.90 p/h) | Full-Time (5 Days/38 Hours per Week) | Flexible Work Arrangements 
  • Permanent with recurrent funding

  • Salary Packaging up to $15,900 (superannuation can be paid in addition to this, subject to any ATO limit if any).

Experience and Qualifications 

This role requires qualifications in Human Resources, Leadership and coaching, or human services (alongside relevant experience) received from a recognised university. This role would also benefit from demonstrated experience in the not-for-profit sector and change-management but is not necessary, we really want someone who is aligned to our values and is a great leader.
