As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR and Compliance Officer to join our team, focusing on Industrial Relations (IR), WorkCover, and Internal HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Industrial Relations (IR):
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industrial relations regulations and standards.
Provide expert advice on workplace relations matters, including negotiations, disputes, and collective agreements.
Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
WorkCover and Safety:
Oversee WorkCover and occupational health and safety (OH&S) programs.
Investigate and manage workers' compensation claims.
Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
Internal HR:
Conduct employee orientations and facilitate ongoing training programs.
Handle employee relations issues and conflict resolution.
Collaborate with management to develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
Compliance:
Ensure all HR practices align with legal and regulatory requirements.
Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with company policies.
Keep abreast of changes in employment laws and industry regulations.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to HR, IR, and Compliance matters.
Prepare regular reports on key HR and Compliance metrics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources or similar field.
Proven experience in HR roles with a focus on IR, WorkCover, and Compliance.
Strong knowledge of industrial relations legislation and workplace safety regulations.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
