Job description
2 full-time Indian cuisine Curry Chef position is available at Indo Indian cuisine , which is located in Alstonville, 2477 NSW. The job applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Indian cuisine, along with the right qualifications.
KEY TASKS
Have a full operational knowledge of all recipes, standards, portion sizes and presentation style of dishes produced within the kitchen.
Assist in the creation of menus (taking into account food and labor costs),
Discuss food preparation issues with the manager and other staff and monitor the preparation and presentation of the dishes.
Work with the management and set daily and weekly production levels for the kitchen.
Maintain stock levels according to requirements of business and understand how this can have an effect on food costs.
Implement and ensure compliance with food hygiene standards and health and safety requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
• Completion of certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery
• At least 2 years’ experience as a curry chef and tandoori chef
• Have good English communication skills, a positiveattitude and enjoy working in a team
