Tasks & responsibilities
- Menu planning and costing of menus.
- Monitor and ensure the high quality of food throughout preparation and presentation.
- Prepare and cook meals safely and in a clean environment.

- Full stock control and accountability for stock-takes, ordering and stock rotation.
- Take charge of menu changes and specials, using your creativity to produce exciting plates.
- Minimise wastage and ensure cost control for maximum business profitability.
- Work closely with restaurant manager and front of house team
- Maintain clean and proper use of kitchen equipment and advice on repairs or improvements needed for greater efficiency. Handle complaints according to guidelines and in a way that leaves customers satisfied and impressed.
- Supervise and train kitchen staffs on proper cooking techniques. Monitoring food handling, preparation, and presentation of dishes • Ensure compliance with food and hygiene and implement safe work practices.
