Job Summary (Purpose) :
Reporting to the Customer Development Manager, National Metcash, the Customer Development Executive & Integrated Supply Planner– National Metcash is responsible for providing support to the Independents CDT in four key areas:
- National- Owning Atlas forecasting (baseline and promotional sales) for all Home Care categories within Independents & conducting ongoing analysis to supervise all areas of commercial performance and find opportunities to optimise the strategy for growth
- Assisting in the implementation and execution of key strategic imperatives- Brand led events and executions, NPD support and activation, distribution drives, retailer engagement events (i.e. Metcash EXPO, etc.)
- Advising & empowering the field team- ensuring that all relevant comms and materials are updated, distributed and communicated to assist the FST in achieving their goals within Independents
- Implementing the responsibilities of Colgate-Palmolive’s inaugural Integrated Supply Planner (ISP) for Metcash. This component of the roles is encouraged to represent ~50% off the total workload and will primarily involve Metcash order and inventory management for their five DCs across Australia, for the entire portfolio of CP products ranged by Metcash.
Main Responsiblities :
Forecasting and Accrual Management
- Development of promotional program, in conjunction with CDM
- Atlas input for all Home Care categories, including case deals, new and deleted lines, promotional & baseline forecasting, etc.
- Handling Metcash promotional process via Metproms platform
- Ongoing analysis of business performance based on both internal (net sales, GtN, ASP, margin, case fill %, etc.) & external (RSV, market share, RASP, growth, etc.) to form a full view
- Undertake financial modeling and lead promotional reviews and planning to optimise financials and share within the team
- Share insights, proposals and recommendations that drive efficiency or effectiveness, in line with CP’s F.E.E.D principles
- Providing assistance with activation plans aligned to strategic priorities
- Contribute to commercial team as required (Customer Value Planning, Consensus Review, Risks & Opportunities, GOAT, etc.)
- Prepare and present at State Meetings/FST Workshops
- Engage and support FST through ongoing comms on relevant matters, empower state teams to deliver outcomes aligned to CDT goals
- Bachelor's Degree required
- At least 3 years of experience in category/customer/account roles or adjacent experiences required
- Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills
- Proven track record to be self managed and motivated and work effectively remotely
- Experience working with a syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, Quantium) preferred
- Prior experience working with Metcash/Independent retailers
- Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel & PowerPoint) or Google Suite proficiency (i.e, Sheets, Slides, Docs) preferred
