Customer Service & Resource RecoveryOperator
Maitland City Council isseeking Customer Service & Resource Recovery operator to provide customerservice to our community, based at the Maitland Resource Recovery Facility.
About the Role
Located at theMaitland Resource Recover Facility, as a Customer Service & ResourceRecovery Operator you will be responsible for front line customer engagementand support to the Maitland community and visitors who are utilising thefacility.
The role isresponsible for operation of the weighbridge and associated tasks involved withthis work area, supervising activities in the recycling area including theCommunity Recycling Centre and providing advice on the correct disposal ofwaste items to increase Resource Recovery within the facility and reduce wasteto landfill. There will also be occasions where the role will be responsiblefor traffic management within the facility.
Along with monitoringlevels of recyclables, you will conduct accurate and timely reporting to theSite Supervisor to meet compliance requirements.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will havedemonstrated experience and knowledge with recycling and Resource Recoveryoperations. You will be commitment to provide a high level of service tocustomers and your ability to work as part of a team coupled with yourdemonstrated understanding of WH&S in the context of the waste managementindustry will help you succeed in this role.
A current C classdriver’s licence essential.

This is a full-time,permanent position with a base salary of $59,512 to $65,729 per year based ondemonstrated experience + allowances + penalty rates + 11% super.
