They have been integral to various sectors, including Oil and Gas, Mining and Resources, and Industrial and Commercial Construction. They are seeking an experienced Customer service representative to join their expanding team. As a Customer Service Representative, you would be responsible for handling customer inquiries, resolve issues, process transactions, collaborate with the team, maintain positive customer relationships, and ensure compliance with regulations.

About the role
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for the following:
- Handling customer phone calls and responding to email inquiries promptly.
- Resolving customer issues and concerns effectively.
- Processing credit transactions and return materials.
- Collaborating within the Customer Service Team to assist in the processing of Requests for Quotation (RFQ) to Order release stages.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and potential customers to ensure satisfaction and identify future business opportunities.
- Providing support to internal stakeholders and collaborating with them to address customer needs.
- Answering customer queries related to pricing, turnaround times, and technical information.
- Entering, maintaining, and reviewing customer pricing and database information.
- Actively contributing to the business by generating ideas, identifying risks, and assisting in resolving issues and problems.
- Ensuring compliance with Valmont Australia and New Zealand Government Acts, Regulations, and Codes of practice, including community requirements and trade practices.
To be successful, you will possess the following:
- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
- 1 to 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Excellent Customer Service skills with an ability to build new and foster ongoing customer relationships and demonstrated success in providing superior Customer Service to a diverse range of clients and customers.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude and personable demeanour.
- Proficient in software programs, particularly Microsoft Office Suites. Training will be provided with site specific programs.
- Preferred knowledge and experience in the steel fabrication and/or construction industry (highly desirable but not essential).
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to identify and resolve and determine proper solutions in a timely manner.
- Be highly motivated, taking pride in delivering quality levels of Customer Service.
