An award-winning international freight forwarder and logistics company with offices offshore and nationally, is offering an opportunity for an experienced freight operator / Customer Service representative to join their Client Services team.
Reporting directly to the Customer Service Manager, but also working closely with both Operations and Sales department, your primary responsibilities will be to fully support a variety of small to medium size customers with their global shipping needs.
- Provide customer support in person, by email and phone,
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customers.
- Meet personal/Customer Service team targets,
- Updating rate cards
- Receipt of customer orders
- Manage all Shipping documents and carrier notifications.
- Ensure customers are invoiced in a timely and accurate manner.
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits and follow up to ensure resolution,
- Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents,
- Maintain accurate customer files as per company policy and procedures.
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies,
- Provide status reports and communicate any issues with delays etc..
This role suits an individual with a background in support, high end customer support and someone who has Freight Forwarding work experience particularly within Customer Service handling their day-to-day enquiries.
You must demonstrate:
- Experience in a highly customer support within Freight forwarding services.
- Experience in the International logistics is essential.
- Knowledge of ICOTERMS preferred.
- Keen attention to detail is a must.
- A sense of urgency
- A collaborative approach working within a team environment.
- Readiness to undertake additional tasks as necessary.
- Skillful task prioritization and exceptional organizational aptitude
