Purpose
The Customer Service -Hire Desk role is the first point of contact for walk-in customers and facilitates the co-ordination of hire transactions, pickups, deliveries, and transport. It is a very hands on role, where the Hire DeskCustomer Service is the conduit between the Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and the Yard Hand teams in order to provide an exceptional experience to our clients
Key Role Outcomes
- Communication and flow of work across RAM is enabled, through being the conduit between the customer, sales, operations and yard hand teams.
- Customer service guarantees are met and kept, through effective follow up and communication with key parties.
- Contribution to the team, through being an active team member; taking part in team briefings and assisting team members where required. This includes administrative support to sales staff and the preparation of proposals. Looking for ways to improve RAM service procedures is encouraged.
- Support the team to achieve DIFOT target P100.
The role has the responsibility for participating in workplace health and safety activities.
Person Capabilities
Essential
- Appropriate training courses in sales, Customer Service and general administration
- Exceptional customer focus
- Proven work ethic and positive attitude
- Accountable for own work and that of your team
- Secondary education to SACE or equivalent level
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload
- Holds a current driver’s licence
- Holds a current forklift licence
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Attention to detail as this role involves a lot of detailing with machinery
- Demonstrated reliability and a strong desire to grow within the industry.
- A keen learner, adaptable to various operations.
