Cox Purtell is currently partnering with a well-established (40-year-old!) international business that provides B2B solutions predominantly to the FMCG market. They have a beautiful, open plan head office based in Rosebery in Australia but do provide services internationally with a wide remit of offerings.
We are currently hiring for a Customer Services Manager for the business who is also interested in taking on some operational tasks as well. It is a full time, Permanent role and candidates would be required to be onsite 5 days per week, however after successful completion of probation they can offer 1 day per week working from home.
In this role you will be responsible for managing a small team across both supply chain and Customer Service, ensuring client experience is exceptional as well as efficiencies being maintained across the team and business. You will be a hands-on team player who is happy to jump into administrative tasks and work with customers as well.
There is also the opportunity to be involved in operational duties for the wider business, someone who is interested in process improvement and contributing to the success for the wider business would be suitable!
Duties will include:
- Develop relationships with key clients and stakeholders being the main point of contact for the Customer Services team.
- Manage and delegate workflow throughout the team
- Ensure client experience is outstanding
- Manage and delegate import documentation as well as local freight delivery processes.
- Day-to-day people management of the Customer Service team - training and development of their skills
- Explore opportunities for process improvement within the department
- Operational admin to support the wider business
- Contributing to management meetings
- Reporting metrics back to management
Key Experience and Skills required:
- Ideal candidates must have managed a team in a Customer Service setting before
- Previous experience in a corporate B2B people management role is essential.
- Experience must be from a product led organisation rather than a service led organisation.
- Experience in the logistics sector would be preferred
- Prior experience or exposure to operational functions within an organisation would be advantageous.
- Excellent usability with Microsoft Office and SAP or a similar ERP
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Full working rights in Australia as this is a Permanent position.
- Must be comfortable to travel to and work in Rosebery, NSW (2018).
