We are seeking a Customer Service Administrator to join their established and supportive team.
Your new role
As a Customer Service Officer in the Infrastructure and Facilities, you will be the first point of contact, upholding and enhancing the university’s public image by delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Customer Interaction: Handle inbound calls and face-to-face enquiries, responding promptly, friendly, knowledgeably, and efficiently to requests, enquiries, and complaints from customers.
- Support and Advice: Provide support and advice to staff, customers, and stakeholders on a range of internal and external policies, requirements, and expectations.
- Teamwork: Work effectively as part of a team, sharing information and resources, and providing backup as required.
- Administration: General administration, data entry and database management.
- Transactional Processes: Provide timely and accurate completion of transactional processes including application payments, receipt and processing of administration fees, billings, debtors, reconciliations, collections, deposits, refunds, purchase requisitions, and miscellaneous charges.
This role is integral to maintaining a safe, informative, and friendly environment for our customers.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a similar Customer Service and administration role (essential).
- Proven experience in a tertiary education or similar organisation (highly desirable).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with clear communication and respect in team environments.
- Proven experience in providing administrative support in a complex organisation, with the ability to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent Customer Service skills in a call centre and/or face-to-face environment, including conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge and experience in adhering to workplace policies and procedures in work health safety, equity, diversity, and promoting a respectful workplace culture.
